Easy Guacamole Recipe

There are a million different variations you can make to a guac recipe, but the best ones are usually the most simple. The beauty of guac is that you can easily swap out an ingredient if you feel the need- whether you hate tomato, or find garlic too overpowering, you can adjust the guac to your taste preferences, and it will still taste just as good.

  • 2 avocados
  • coarse salt
  • lime
  • garlic
  • white onion
  • tomato

  1. Cut avocados in half and scoop out into a bowl
  2. Dice onion and tomato to desired coarseness and set aside
  3. Place the garlic and salt in the mortar and grind until salt is crushed
  4. Add half the avocado into mortar and gradually stir until garlic and salt are evenly combined
  5. Combine remaining avocado chunks, and the blended avocado from the mortar, into a mixing bowl and combine until desired consistency is reached (I like to leave some avocado chunks)
  6. Add in tomato, onion, salt and lime and stir
  7. Serve immediately or store refrigerated and covered
