SUR Goat Cheese Balls Recipe
If you’ve ever watched Vanderpump Rules, you’ll know that SUR goat cheese balls are more revered and talked about than LVP herself. Not to knock these little balls of deliciousness in the slightest, but given how much they’re praised… I expected them to be a little more complex! They’re super easy to make as an appetizer, or if you’re looking for a side for your SUR inspired crispy chicken dinner, these are the perfect accompaniment.
SUR Goat Cheese Balls Recipe
- Italian breadcrumbs
- parsley
- salt and pepper
- egg
- flour
- goat cheese
- olive oil
- Roll your goat cheese into small balls, place on a plate lined with wax paper and freeze for 20-30 minutes (the longer you freeze them for, the easier they will be to cook)
- Pour out flour onto a plate
- Whisk eggs in a bowl
- Combine breadcrumbs, parsley and any other seasoning on a plate
- Heat oil in the skillet on med-high, enough to coat the bottom inch or so of your skillet
- Take the frozen balls and roll them in the flour and then dip them in the egg yolk
- Ensure the goat cheese balls are completely covered in egg and then roll them in the breadcrumb mixture
- Fry your goat cheese balls in the skillet (you can do multiple at a time, so long as they aren’t touching) you want to hear a sizzle when you drop them in, otherwise your skillet isn’t hot enough!
- Cook until golden brown (try to handle them as little as possible, only turning once or twice to ensure they’re fried evenly)
- Let them cool for a minute or two, but otherwise, serve immediately!
